In 1961 my dad bought a Voightlander and my mother developed clickitus - 36 exposure film has this effect on some people, no view was left unsnapped in - triplicate. My mother kept the local chemist in business and there was a never ending supply of little yellow red and black boxes coming through the letter box KodaChrome had arrived! Shortly followed by screens, Aldis projectors, Airquip cassettes, stacking storage file boxes, label systems and Saturday night slide parties....
I used the Voigtlander a few times and became besotted with the solid feel but not the often unreliable precision that it offered. The camera still works but that Compur shutter has this nasty habit of sticking always at the wrong time. My dad still says my mother wore it out and I moved on to my first real camera!
